Kirk's Lost Thoughts - Ep 2.21
Only three more episodes left! As the season dwindles the episodes get better and better, making up for some of the stuff we had to endure. This'll be a short one, but I'll try and hit all the high points.
Last week on Brokeback Island, Locke and Eko stumbled upon another Dharma station, The Pearl. To date they've seen "The Swan", "The Staff (Caduceus), "The Arrow", and "The Pearl". Unfound so far, according to the blast door map, "The Flame", "C3", and "C4". Could C3 or C4 be "The Door" that will be in the finale? Inside "The Pearl" they watch another orientation film explaining the purpose of this station, numbered 5 of 6. Wait a second! Something is amiss. I counted seven stations; if the blast door map is accurate. The host of this video is Dr. Mark Wickman a.k.a. Dr. Marvin Candle, although his prosthetic arm has grown back. Could Dr. Candle/Wickman be hiding out the "The Flame" bunker? Rumor has it that he'll be back in the final episode as Dr. Waxman. Also in the station is an odd printout that's is full of numbers. Sledgeweb did the research all I have to do is copy and paste:
41602052:17 accepted 41602054:05 accepted 41602055:53
accepted 41602057:41 accepted 41602059:29 accepted
41602061:17 accepted 41602063:05 accepted 41602064:53
accepted 41602066:41 accepted 41602068:29 accepted
This repeats over and over, the number before the colon increases by 2 with each entry (except on the entry with the :53, which increments by 1), and the numbers after the colon (17 05 53 41 29) stay the same. If you look at the two digits before the ":" as hours, and the two digits after the ":" as minutes, each entry is exactly 108 minutes after the previous entry.
For example:
52:17 would be 52 hours and 17 minutes, or 3137 minutes.
54:05 would be 54 hours and 05 minutes, or 3245 minutes.
3245 - 3137 = 108 minutes
If Locke has some free time he'll be able to see if Henry actually skipped entering those numbers in. I wonder if Michael's conversations with Walt are also in those logs?
This week we were graced with an Eko flashback. His passport contained some of our favorite numbers: 4 = April and 2004, 8 = August 23, 15 = April 15, 16 = April 16, 23 = August 23. (hat tip Sledgeweb). More connections, Claire's psychic friend met Eko in Australia.
The Hanso commercial during the break looked the same but we were given a new url, www.sublymonal.com. Start at the left and click on the first tv 4 times, it'll turn yellow then go to the next tv, click on it 8 times it'll turn yellow... go to the last tv and click in it 42 times and you'll get a message (code: Heir Apparent) and link to the Bio's page on the Hanso website. Go to Dr. Thomas Mittelwerk's bio, and enter that in the text box. Persephone will give you some info:
"Caltech has no record of this guy in theirWho is Dr. Thomas Mittelwerk? Not a Caltech grad! But Mittlewerk was a large underground facility built by the Germans that was staffed with prisoners transferred from concentration camps. The conditions were horrific and thousands of prisoners died due to malnutrition, disease, exhaustion or hanging (by camp guards). The site is where the V-2 missile was built, it being the first missile or vehicle to pass the sound barrier.
Alumni database! He's never made a tuition
payment does he even have a college degree?
Why does he call himself a 'Doctor'? Of what.
Who is this clown?"
Bad Twin is causing a bit of a stir at Hanso, they put out a press release about the book.
Before they were Lost: Entertainment Weekly has an entertaining write up on some of our favorite characters. See what Locke, Sawyer (dude you got beat up by Alicia Silverstone), Michael, and Kate did before striking gold. Get a good laugh from Evangeline's commercial for a dating service. Where do I sign up?!?
Now that Ana is dead Michelle Rodriguez is exploring other avenues of employment. Soon you'll be wearing some M.R. duds.
That's all I have, till next week Namaste.
