Kirk's Lost Thoughts - Ep 2.11

Is Lost starting to Jump the Shark? Hearing Jack say to Ana-Lucia "How long would it take to train an army" I started to visualize Jack on water skis wearing the Fonzie's leather jacket. Not Good Times. Tetto & Ali,who graciously let me watch the show at their place since mine was sans power, were in agreement. To top it off, why ask a cop? Why not ask the Iraqi Army Officer? One reason, as one of my buds (Dave I believe) said, "In recent years The Iraqi army doesn't have a track record of success". Good Point!

Scott has some more ideas how Lost reminds him of the Stand. If only they drink a Nozz-a-la Cola to wash down those Apollo bars while listening to Geronimo Jackson.

Finally, they get to talk to some of The Others! We did learn some important rules for house guests, but other than that very little. Here are a couple things that might have escaped our attention. "Zeke" made a comment to the group "From the dawn of our species, Man has been blessed with curiosity". Does that sound familiar? If you've checked out the Hanso Foundation website you'll see it attributed to none other than Mr. Alvar Hanso! Right before they drag Kate out "Zeke" yells 'Bring her out Alex". Alex? Same name as Danielle's kid that the others grabbed. Can is be Danielle's kid? Maybe someone with HD got a better view; the closest screen cap I got has Sawyer blocking the view. It looks like there are a lot of Others on the Island, this screen cap is the best view I can find of the torches being lit. I can make out a few of the people on the Island, look to the diagonal right of Locke, that's a pretty young looking Other. Could it be one of the kids from the tail section?

Can there be more than one group of Others? It appeared that "Zeke" seemed surprised when Jack mentioned the spies in their camp.

Why go on a hunting party and not bring Eko?

Jack is wearing a bit with the whole control freak thing. Locke is the voice of reason on the Island now?
