Kirk's Lost Thoughts - Ep 2.10
Hey guys and gals, sorry for the delay, and with the brevity, in getting these thoughts out but I've been distracted by events out of my control. Yup, just a little frustrating.
In addition, I had to spend a full 24 hours mourning the loss of my beloved Pats to the Broncos led by Mr. Clutch himself, Jake the Snake (?!?!).
Before I get into this weeks episode, some more info on Michelle Rodriguez and her DUI. Thanks to (Not Work Safe)What Would Tyler Durden Do(Not Work Safe).
Rodriguez, who ironically plays a police officer on 'Lost', was pulled over late on Dec. 1 after her black Mercedes was spotted weaving across the road. After failing a field sobriety test, she was arrested.
Just one week ago, Rodriquez finally paid several other driving-related fines, including a $357 fine for driving 83 mph in a 55 mph zone in Oahu on Nov. 1 and a $300 fine for going 90 mph in a 35 mph zone on Oct. 20; she had previously paid $197 for going 80 mph in a 50 mph zone on Aug. 24. In 2003, she was charged in Los Angeles with hit-and-run and failure to exchange insurance information, plus driving with a suspended (New Jersey) license and driving without a valid California license. Later that year, she was pulled over for speeding through a Hollywood Boulevard intersection. She was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and driving without a valid license.
Darn, my head will still be spinning from the book the judge had thrown at me with a record that long.
This week focused on Mr. Eko's sordid past and we finally got to see "The Monster". Black smoke?!? It reminds Mr. Bloggerson of the novel Prey. Those of you who have HD may have noticed some visions in the smoke; others (like me) had to wait for other people to do it for them.

During the first season we saw faces in the smoke too, check it here.
How did a Beechcraft with a range of 1,200-1,500 miles make it from Nigeria, on the East Coast of Africa, to the South Pacific? I'll admit that I don't have a wide base of knowledge of the drug trade but flying a small plane like that across the Pacific doesn't seem too feasible.
Andy dug up an interesting theory over on The Black Rock messageboards.
Unfortunately I've got to cut this short, I didn't have a lot of time for research. Hopefully I can make it up next week.
